The most common question I was asked following my recent article on homelessness was: “Did you find John and Carrie?”
You may remember that John is a homeless man I befriended and Carrie is his beloved dog. I am happy to report that I did locate John and Carrie. I had no words when John said he “was sorry he worried me and was not available to be interviewed for the article and could I say ‘sorry’ to anyone reading it.” He was unwell and had been to the hospital only to find out that he must have all his teeth removed.
